As part of the 3rd edition of the Sommet de l’Immigration (Immigration Summit), we led a workshop with the theme “Innovative practices in entrepreneurship: finding inspiration to respond to immigration-related challenges.”

Professionals with an interest in immigration in Québec gathered November 16 at the Centrexpo Cogeco in Drummondville to discuss major issues related to immigration and best practices of inclusion for immigrants.

Our regional director for Laval, Samya Namir, took the opportunity to share her own experience, as well as the innovative practices we have put in place. For example, she emphasized that the entrepreneurs Evol finances do not need permanent resident status.

Participants also benefited from the legal advice of our expert, Grace Nehme, attorney and founder of the firm Lex Internationalis; her presentation featured her personal anecdotes as an immigrant and entrepreneur.

Skillfully managed by our dynamic director of business development, Véronique Dargis, the workshop revealed some of the secrets of our successes.

Participants were also able to ask their questions and share their innovative ideas and strategies for the inclusion of immigrants in the workplace.

In short, the workshop was a rich source of learning and inspiration to facilitate and encourage the integration of immigrants into our organizations.
