As part of the Journées Internationales de la Francophonie (international francophonie day) in Mauricie, on March 24 at UQTR, Marilyn Simard, an Evol sustainable development coach, presented the approach Evol uses to finance and guide businesses that want to have a positive impact in line with SDGs.
With the theme “Adopting sustainable development goals (SDG) in small and medium-sized organizations (SMO),” the workshop led by Marilyne Simard could not better reflect Evol’s values and mission.
Captivated by the topic, our colleague spoke eloquently about Evol’s vision of sustainable development, presenting it clearly and accessibly. She encouraged the large audience to contribute to this collective reflection on the role and responsibilities of SMOs in sustainability.
With the goal of showcasing the expertise of the partners who gathered and to think collectively about the challenges and innovative solutions in sustainable development for the francophonie, UQTR’s François Labelle and Isabelle Falardeau created the program for the day.
The day opened with a conference by Jérôme Dupras, professor at UQO and member of the Cowboys Fringants, and then offered concurrent workshops on a range of topics, in a dynamic, interactive format.
These special days dedicated to the 321 million francophones in the world are powered by the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, and they celebrate the francophonie’s shared values of solidarity, cultural diversity, and democracy.
Mauricie residents are particularly attached to their language, and every year the initiative generates a great deal of enthusiasm in the region. As such, the 2023 organizing committee, made up of Sylvain Benoit, Patrick Razakamananifidiny, Yvon Laplante, and Josianne Francoeur, went all out to again offer this year rich, diversified program to its enthusiastic audience.
Trois-Rivières residents were offered a wide range of workshops, conferences, and cultural activities, all completely free. Reflecting different fields of interest and offered in a number of formats, including plays, conferences, and lunchtime talks, the 2023 edition was also a day devoted to sustainable development.
