Marie Van Den Broek came to the position of regional manager for Lanaudière along a winding path. When she was studying literature in university with the goal of teaching French, the boss of the sporting goods store where she worked as manager offered her a golden business opportunity: managing a new store. The student decided to go for it and discovered her entrepreneurial bent. Being at the helm of a new business was sink or swim, and Marie quickly developed her aptitudes in administration, discovered the ecosystem, and fell in love with entrepreneurship.
With her experience on the ground, she nevertheless decided to go back to school, this time going into what would engage her from then on. She completed a bachelor’s degree in management and administration, followed by a certificate in human resources from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. During her career, she would hold positions of credit manager, and then start-up and business management advisor.
Rigorous, empathic, and focused on solutions, Marie gets creative when it comes to problem solving. At Evol, her support sometimes tips into mentoring, because it is so important to her to help entrepreneurs develop their business and take flight.
