Evol launches the project “Taking action together to successfully integrate ethnocultural communities in Montréal”
Evol is proud to announce the launch of the project “Taking action together to successfully integrate ethnocultural communities in Montréal,” developed in partnership with Entreprendre ici, with the support of the Ville de Montréal.
This project provides greater support for the city’s entrepreneurs who are among the candidates and recipients of Entreprendre ici honorific grants for ethnocultural diversity.
Fifty entrepreneurs will benefit from this initiative, which includes personalized support, strategic advice and workshops on sustainable development. The objective is to maximize the social and environmental impact of their projects.
Statistics show that entrepreneurs from ethnocultural communities are often at the leading edge of innovation and integrate sustainable development practices from the outset of their project. Despite a declining rate of entrepreneurship since 2018, immigrants continue to engage in entrepreneurship at twice the rate as those born in Québec, according to the latest Indice entrepreneurial québécois. But the business closure rate remains a concern, emphasizing the need for strategic support to ensure long-term success.
This initiative is intended to lift barriers that limit access to resources from the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, enabling every entrepreneur to prosper. Evol, in partnership with Entreprendre ici and with the support of the Ville de Montréal, is committed to building a diversified, sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem, where each project has the chance to succeed.
