The Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie and Minister responsible for the Status of Women, Martine Biron, highlighted the exceptional contribution of the winners of the Thérèse-Casgrain Equality Award (PÉTC) in achieving equality between men and women. The prizes were awarded to the 2021, 2022 and 2023 winners during a ceremony that took place on March 20, in the Red Hall of the Quebec’S National Assembly.
Femmessor having been the winner of the PETC « Coup de Cœur » Women and Covid in April 2021, our colleagues Chantal Thieblin-Goffoz, Director of Impact Funding & Sustainable development Strategy, and Noémi Harvey, Regional Director in Quebec City attended the award celebration.
Exceptionally, the 2021 edition of the PETC has been enhanced with the « Coup de Coeur » Women and Covid category, as they were most affected by the impacts of the pandemic.
Facing this new paradigm, Femmessor, now Evol, quickly mobilized and spared no effort to put various initiatives in place to better respond to the unprecedented challenges experienced by women entrepreneurs. This is how Femmessor’s proactivity earned the PETC award in this category.
During the ceremony, Chantal and Noémi wanted to thank the Minister responsible for the Status of Women in 2021, Isabelle Charest, as well as the members of the jury who, at the time, rewarded Femmessor. In addition, they were able to congratulate the winners of the other categories and discuss with all the stakeholders of this event.
The event proved to be friendly and warm, and our colleagues had a lot of fun meeting key players from different sectors and discovering people and organizations who, like us, are committed to promoting equality between men and women for the benefit of a more just, a more inclusive and more equitable society.
