There was a great deal of enthusiasm in Montréal today, December 1, as our CEO Sévrine Labelle joined the Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, the Honourable Mary Ng, for an important announcement.
The announcement was made at the Montréal offices of 6temik and hosted by its founder, Souad Elmallem; it brought together many Québec entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial ecosystem partners.
Minister Ng announced that Evol is now officially the Québec agent for the Women Entrepreneurship Loan Fund. In this regard, Emmanuella Lambropoulos, member of the House of Commons for Saint-Laurent, emphasized the Minister’s statements and reiterated the importance of having a solid network of organizations that support female entrepreneurship.
Sévrine Labelle added that our service offer has expanded as a result and that partnerships with MicroEntreprendre and Entreprendre ici will enable loans under $50,000.
Entrepreneurs Christine Renaud, president of e180, and Céline Juppeau, founder of Kotmo, testified to the challenges and issues they faced in founding their businesses and emphasized how organizations like ours helped overcome them.
This announcement was not only a chance to present our new microcredit offer with our partners MicroEntreprendre and Entreprendre ici, but also to shine a spotlight on entrepreneurs and their inspiring journeys.
