Biography

Alexis received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from ÉTS in 2012. After working in the manufacturing sector during his internships, he spent seven years at Prevost, first as a process technician, then as a mechanical designer, to go on to become an engineering manager in charge of a team of 12 mechanical designers. In October 2020, he co-founded Rupico to improve the conditions of workers on production lines, making it his mission to eliminate human involvement in repetitive manufacturing tasks. Aside from his professional efforts, Alexis is a proud blood donor and spends time developing and maintaining mountain bike trails.

Specifications

Product development

Prototyping

Coaching to identify the uncertainties of a project/product to eliminate or mitigate them. This is an essential step in product development, and a multitude of technologies are available to help you eliminate risk from and validate a product.

Automation and robotization

Discussion and challenging manufacturing methods for existing or desired products. Production costs are a huge part of the cost price for most products, which is why automation must be part of plans to achieve growth.
